If you are used to vibrant, smooth, traditional stone-ground matchas (like MK), this one might disappoint you.
The powder itself looks incredibly fine in the bag and has less static electricity, so it doesn't clump up. However, the color is a duller olive green rather than a bright, vibrant green.
The biggest issue is the texture. I always use a cold-whisk method, but this matcha refuses to dissolve smoothly into cold milk. The fine particles instantly separate and sink to the bottom, leaving a very annoying, sandy, grainy texture on your tongue. When I increased the dose to 4g to get more flavor, it just tasted bitter and lacked any real creamy umami depth.

Verdict: This bag is probably fine for baking or blending into fruit smoothies where texture doesn't matter. But if you want a bright, silky-smooth, and creamy iced latte, I would skip this one.

This is Sokyo ceremonial matcha powder. The power has a vibrant green color and fine powdery texture. The powder dissolved well when prepared properly, I sifted it through a strainer, then whisk it with a bamboo whisk. The matcha tasted fresh with a deep taste and no bitterness. It makes very good matcha latte, which keeps me energized for a whole morning. I'd highly recommend

きめ細かいパウダー状の抹茶で、お湯にもさっと溶けやすく抹茶ラテが作りやすかったです。ダマになりにくく、扱いやすい印象でした。商品説明を見ると、富士エリアのやぶきた一番茶をベースにしたブレンド抹茶とのこと。実際に飲んでみても香りや風味がしっかりしていておいしくいただけました。缶の中には袋に入った状態で抹茶が入っています。缶の密閉性はそれほど高くなさそうなので、長く保存する場合は密閉容器に移し替えて使うと香りを保ちやすそうです。パッケージは英語と日本語併記で少し不安もありましたが、味や香りはしっかりした抹茶でした。今後もラテに使いたいと思います。
