Organic Matcha Uji Ceremonial M (30g)
The Pure Taste of Uji.
Our Organic First-Flush Matcha There’s a reason Uji, Kyoto is legendary for its tea, and you can truly taste it in this organic matcha. We strictly use only the first spring harvest (Ichibancha) from carefully managed organic fields.
The very first thing you'll notice is what isn't there: the bitterness. Unlike many other teas, this matcha is remarkably gentle. Instead of a harsh bite, it glides over your palate with a silky-smooth texture, offering a beautifully balanced, natural richness. It’s exactly what a proper Uji matcha should be—pure, vibrant, and effortlessly delicious.

I got this 30g of authentic Japanese ground matcha from Kyoto which has a balanced flavour profile and is considered the most premium in terms of quality according to the product description. The matcha tastes authentic with a signature bitter, refreshing taste that dissolves in hot water after a lot of vigorous mixing while ending with a slight sweet note. Coming from the tea gardens in Kyoto you expect the quality to be pretty high and it is reflective in the pricing equaling to about $1000 a kilogram which is pretty expensive. If you are a true matcha lover who love it in its original format instead of the latest matcha latte, ice cream, baked goods craze you may find this worth the price but if you’re looking for a matcha flavoured powder to add to your drink, dessert, etc I would say this may not be the most economic option. It comes in a small metal box which is handy to preserve the flavour and freshness.
I love matcha, and this powder is beautiful. It’s very finely ground and turns a bright green when mixed with water. The tin has a sealed foil inside to keep it fresh, which is a nice touch. The flavour is smooth and has a slight bitterness, unlike some other matcha I’ve tried.I’ve been enjoying it in matcha lattes, but at $1,006.67 per kilo, it’s too pricey for daily use. Lovely quality, best saved for a treat.
A lovely matcha with a vibrant colour, fine powder and mellow flavour. It's easy to mix, has very little bitterness and works equally well as traditional matcha or a latte.✅ Pros:- Smooth, fine powder that mixes easily- Mild bitterness with a pleasant, rounded flavour- Lovely fresh green colour and aroma- Uji, Kyoto origin and organic first-harvest leaves- Works well for straight matcha and lattes- Compact airtight tin helps with freshness❌ Cons:- Quite expensive for only 30g- The small quantity can disappear quickly if making regular lattes
The matcha came in a small bag inside a tin container. The tin cointainer helps to keep it stored airtight for freshness. The matcha powder has a nice matcha smell. The matcha powder is pretty dark green in colour. It does seem to be high quality matcha , compared to a cheaper matcha powder I bought from local stores. We made matcha latte with it and it tastes really good. We are happy with this product. The only thing is there was not a lot of it. Only 30g. It wouldn't last long in this household.
